Barry's Collection began in 1943 as a family textile and furnishings house. We have remained one ever since.
What started with hand-loomed fabric has grown into a complete design practice — fabric, wallpaper, furniture, interiors, architecture, and full project execution — for homes, hotels, and landmark institutions across Pakistan and the region. The atelier still sits at the centre. Every cushion, every drape, every sofa we deliver is finished by people we know.
Across eight decades, our work has lived in some of the most considered spaces in the country: the Pearl Continental, the Marriott, Serena, Nishat, the Punjab Assembly, the Aga Khan University Hospital. Some of our oldest commissions are still in use. We are proud of this. We are also proud that, eight decades in, we still treat every commission — single chair to entire home — the same way we did in 1943.
We are a family business in the way that matters. Decisions are made over tea, not in boardrooms. Our craftspeople are not vendors; many have been with us for twenty years or more. The clients we worked with in the 1980s send us their grandchildren now.
The world has changed around us. The way we work has not.
